The Perfect KISSABLE Lip

Here's one of my secrets to a PERFECT KISSABLE lip..

......STEP BY STEP....

First, use a lip scrub, OR, make one, with a little olive oil and some raw sugar (larger granules), and massage all around, and onto your lips.  This will loosen dead skin and the circulation will make your lips look plumper!!

  After you rinse off the scrub,

apply a moisturizer to your lip.. I like UN-WRINKLE LIP by PeterThomasRoth..It is a lotion that penetrates into the skin, it's not like a waxy lip balm that leaves a film on the lips.  Those are FANTASTIC for sealing in the moisture that you have in your lips, and protecting your lips from "the elements", but for this technique, we want a long lasting lip color, and to have a waxy barrier between your lip and the color we're going to use, it just wouldn't last long at all!  (ONWARD!!!!)

next, apply your foundation as usual, and use a small (concealer) brush to apply a little concealer onto the edge and around your lips, follow with a very sheer light weight powder..

Now you're prepped and ready to go!! 

I'm going for a "Pinky/Red look".  You can adjust one or two of the following products to make it more of a "true red", or a "bright fuchsia"..

I LOVE these new formulas of lip stains that companies are coming out with.  I used to be SO FEARFUL of them (maybe I had 'commitment' issues HAHA), but now, I LOVE them, ESPECIALLY when using dark &/or bright shades!!  Use short strokes while applying to your lip..I'm using a cherry red shade first, on the outer edge of the lip, and blending onto the lip.  Not all the way to the center, covering the entire lip, although you CAN do that, it all depends on what look you're going for.. 

 Another thing I like to do, is use a dark (or medium) brown liner on the VERY EDGE to give DEPTH to the lip color.  Here, I've demonstrated with a lip stain, and a lip pencil.  Your choice.. whatever you're comfortable with.

HERE'S THE MAGIC TRICK.....

use that concealer brush from earlier to "clean up" any booboo's you may have made with your pencils/liners.  This also gives you that polished, flawless look that you see on celebs on the red carpet!

NOW, let's fill in these lips!!!

IN "HONEY"

I like these "chubby, moisturizing sheer stains" because it's lightweight and moisturizing!

TADA!!!!!! the PERFECT, KISSABLE POUT that won't come off on your 'special someone'.

(ps, I've been working on this blog entry for 2 hours , and my lips are still fully in tact, and feel soft!)
