Clip-in Bangs

I've used clip-in bangs on many clients for photo shoots, red carpet appearances, and just for fun.  It's great to have fun, flirty bangs, without the commitment, and possible "over snip snip", and the awkward grow-out phase.

My Faves, for the price and style are HAIRDO

Check out my YOUTUBE video on how to attach and style your
FO-FRINGE!!

They're around $30, however, they're NOT HUMAN HAIR, so DON'T put your hot curling on them!! Or, they shall MELT, my friend! LOL... You CAN spritz with water, and use a WARM blow dryer if it gets kind of funky, weird kinks or something.

MY STYLE

My Personal Style

People have always complimented me on my personal style.. Funny thing is, I didn't know I had a STYLE!!  I soon realized I DID indeed have a certain vibe.. I've always done, what I call "Garanimal-ing" it.  You see, back 'in the day' when I was growing up, there was a clothing line for kids, called Garanimals, where the clothing tags had Hippos, Giraffes, Zebras, etc, attached to tops and then, the corresponding bottoms...So, you'd know that a 'Zebra top' went with a 'Zebra bottom'.  Well, my definition is having an expensive item (or items) mixed in with a bunch of inexpensive pieces.. For example, a $200 pair of boots, with $10 leggings, a $20 shirt, and $80 sweater..Something like that.

Here are some examples of stuff I LOVE...

Holiday Makeup Kits.. Worth it???

It's the holiday season, and there are SO MANY makeup kits out there to choose from.  So, how do you choose??

All of the pretty colors, the fancy packaging and options, can be overwhelming.  Instead of just picking the first thing you see, take a few extra minutes and really STUDY the colors AND the contents of the kits.  Some have eyeshadows, blush, highlighters, lip colors, cream eyeliners, mini applicators, etc., etc. My advice is to make sure there is a good ratio of MATTE eyeshadows to SHIMMER shades.  Palettes that have a lot of neutral shades (think earthy, browns, plums, creams, taupes) are always a safe bet.  It's great to have bold colors in there, too, but know that those shades will PROBABLY be used the least.  There are usually testers available, so ask for a disposable applicator and try some of the shades on the back of your hand to see if the color you see in the kit, is what ACTUALLY true to color on your skin.

With so many great kits to choose from, you're sure to find one that fits your style, and your budget!

How to LOOK LIKE a PIRATE..aaaarrrgghhh!!

So I was asked to PLEASE give tips on how to put together a PIRATE look for Halloween.. so here are my thoughts..
Lets start with Makeup...
I think a smokey eye and dark lips would be AWESOME!!!! Lets pull some references from our FAVORITE pirate movies of ALL times...
as you can see... the smokey eye is DEFINITELY the VIBE of a pirate..
here are some steps to a "traditional" smokey eye, then we'll put a spin on it.

put a neutral shade MATTE under brow
a dark gray (or plum or brown) on eyelid, wherever you feel your eyeball shape
use a medium brownish/bronze shade in the crease to soften the edge of the lid shade
use the same lid shade along the bottom lash line-keep it smudgy
use a cream/gel liner in BLACK along upper lash line
with a wedge brush, apply black eyeshadow OVER liner, and blend up onto lid
do the same along lower lash line
use a black eye pencil on upper and lower waterline (inside eye)
curl lashes
apply TONS of BLACK mascara
add lashes, if you like, individual or a strip
add mascara, working natural lashes into false lashes

Now here's the SPIN...... GENTLY rub your eyes to smudge your eye makeup for that PIRATE LOOK

For your lips, go with a Deep Plum, Red, or Black.. for extra long wear, apply a lip pencil first, then lipstick on top.. OR use some of those FABULOUS new lip stains that are out there

For your hair, the dirtier, messier, the better!
I'll show you some examples in my next post!!

Beauty Q&A

Im often asked makeup advice.. i started making a collection of them, and thought I'd share a few of them with you.. If YOU have a "How To" question, feel free to email me at tamarasglamourpuss@gmail.com

Question: im 15 years old and i dont know how to put on make up can u
give me some advice please

At 15, I think you should keep it pretty simple.  Try one of the new Beauty Balms, they are skincare and foundation in ONE. It's easy to apply, gives you nice coverage and still looks natural. I like GARNIER RENEW B.B. CREAM , and TOO FACED TINTED BEAUTY BALM You could use a (shimmer bronzer or shimmery pinky/peach cheek color)  applied on the apples of your cheeks,  and a dab on the tip of your nose.  Follow with some (dark brown or black mascara), and a sheer lip gloss, or tinted lip balm.
Hope that will help get you started.
